Leading with Purpose
Serving with love

Pastor Andrew & Shamini Akilan

Iʼm so glad youʼre here! Whether youʼre exploring faith, looking for a church family, or just curious about what weʼre all about, know that you are loved, valued, and welcome here.

At Lead Church, we believe in the power of Jesus to transform lives. Our mission is simple: to create a Christ-centred community where people love God, live with excellence, walk authentically, and dream boldly. No matter where you come from or your story, thereʼs a place for you here.

Every Sunday, we gather to worship, grow in faith, and encourage one another. Beyond Sundays, we are a church that moves—serving our city, disciplining the next generation, and making a difference in peopleʼs lives.

If you’re visiting for the first time, Iʼd love to invite you to join us this Sunday personally. Iʼd love to meet you, hear your story, and help you find your place in this family.

Letʼs lead together in faith, love, and making an impact for Christ.

Looking forward to seeing you soon!

With love and blessings, Pastor Andrew Akilan

Core Values

Love

Reflecting Christʼs unconditional love in all we do.

A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
John 13:34-35

Excellence

Pursuing the highest standards in our faith, ministry, and actions.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”
Colossians 3:23

Authentic

Living with integrity and staying true to Godʼs Word.

“For we are taking pains to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of man.”
2 Corinthians 8:21

Dream

Inspiring others to dream boldly and step into their God-given purpose.

“Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.”
Ephesians 3:20

What We BELIEVE

At Lead Church, our beliefs are rooted in Scripture and reflect our desire to follow Jesus
wholeheartedly, live with purpose, and walk in the power of the Holy Spirit. Here’s what we believe:

SALVATION THROUGH JESUS

We believe in the power of the Gospel to transform lives through:

REPENTANCE: Turning from sin and turning to God. (Mark 1:15, Luke 13:3, Acts 3:19)

JUSTIFICATION: Being made right with God by faith. (Romans 5:1, Titus 3:7)

REGENERATION: A new life through the Holy Spirit. (Titus 3:5)

NEW BIRTH: Being born again into the family of God. (John 3:3, 1 Peter 1:23, 1 John 3:9)

We are called to live lives set apart for God through

SANCTIFICATION: A process of becoming more like Christ. (Romans 5:2, 1 Thes. 4:3)

HOLINESS: Walking in purity and obedience. (Hebrews 12:14, 1 Thes. 4:7)
WATER BAPTISM: A public declaration of our faith. (Matthew 28:19, Acts 8:36-38)

THE LORD’S SUPPER: Remembering Christ’s sacrifice through communion. (1 Corinth. 11:23-26)

WASHING OF THE SAINTS FEET: A symbol of humility and service. (John 13:4-17)

We believe in the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit

BAPTISM WITH THE HOLY GHOST: For power and boldness in service. (Acts 1:8, Luke 24:49)

SPEAKING IN TONGUES: The initial evidence of Holy Spirit baptism. (Acts 2:4, Acts 19:1–7)

SPIRITUAL GIFTS: Given to build up the church and minister to others. (1 Corinth. 12:1-11)

FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT: The evidence of a Spirit-filled life. (Galatians 5:22–23)

We believe in the local and global Church as the body of Christ, called to worship, serve, and share the Gospel. (Matthew 1618; Acts 242–47; Ephesians 219–22)

We believe divine healing is available through Christʼs atonement. (Isaiah 535; James 514–16; 1 Peter 224) We also believe in signs and wonders that follow those who believe. (Mark 1617–20)

We practice tithing and giving as acts of worship and obedience, trusting God to provide. (Malachi 310; 2 Corinthians 96–9)

Where possible, we believe in making things right with others as a fruit of repentance. (Luke 19:8–9)

We believe in the premillennial second coming of Jesus Christ:

FIRST, to resurrect the saints and rapture His Church. (1 Thessalonians 415–17)

THEN, to reign on earth for a thousand years. (Revelation 204–6)

We believe in the premillennial second coming of Jesus Christ:

RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD: All will be raised, some to eternal life and others to judgment. (John 5:28–29)

ETERNAL LIFE: Reserved for those who are in Christ. (John 10:28, 1 John 5:11–13)

ETERNAL PUNISHMENT: For the wicked; not annihilation but everlasting separation from God. (Matt. 25:41–46, Rev. 20:10–15)

These beliefs reflect our foundation as a church and our commitment to following Jesus in truth, love, and power. For any questions or deeper study, feel free to connect with our team or sign up for our Growth Track
